Science Used Wrongly: Fake Eggs !!!

It is as if I'm watching another episode of Fringe, Malaysian Fringe. Now who is coming to solve this mystery on the fake eggs. Send investigators to China, please! I love eggs and I really do not like to have a bad experience with them.
According to the fake egg issue in China, the egg shell is made out from Calcium Chloride, egg yolk and egg white are made with Sodium Alginate and Gelatine. Penang Consumer Association warned: consuming the fake eggs may cause brain and neuron cell damage. Please watch out whereever you are because we do not know when such case will invade which country next.
GEORGE TOWN, 7 MARCH, 2011: Penang Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry officers seized a total of 270 eggs from three stalls in Pulau Tikus market today, following complaints of fake eggs being sold there, reported The Star.

A team from the Health Ministry also came and conducted its own inspection of the eggs sold at the market.

The report said the seven-member Domestic Trade team arrived at about 10am and left around 11:15am, after taking three trays comprising 90 eggs from each of the three stalls inside the market.

A Penang enforcement division spokesman said the eggs would be tested by the department or sent for analysis by a laboratory.

Four state health officials also arrived shortly later and were seen doing their own checks of the eggs sold by the traders.

They bought 46 eggs for RM16 from one stall and 62 eggs for RM22.60 from another which would be sent to a laboratory in Petaling Jaya today for tests.

Several Domestic Trade enforcement officials had earlier visited the Consumers Association of Penang (CAP) office at Jalan Mesjid Negeri to gather more information about the fake eggs before raiding the market stalls.

The seizures came in the wake of news reports Thursday that fake eggs, which were allegedly full of chemicals, had been found in Penang.

CAP president SM Mohamed Idris had said a housewife complained that she bought a tray of 30 eggs for RM11 at the market but found they did not smell like real eggs and were tasteless.

He claimed the eggs had unusual shapes, were larger and had a rougher surface than the genuine ones. ** taken from Malaysian Digest News
