Maleficient

 Maleficient is a remake of Sleeping Beauty and what makes this movie so good is Angelina Jolie. The storyline is touching , exciting, abit dark at some point and the key thing is knowing the childhood of Maleficient.  How she became evil. This movie probably appeals more to the ladies. But, I don't mind hearing from the men's side.

A love tale gone sour because the man betrays his woman for glory. An innocent young happy lady only knew one love and he broke her heart and for the literal part, he sliced off her wings.

Anger, bitterness took over and soon a curse was made over the child of her ex-lover, Aurora played by Elle Fanning.
 Maleficient,  the broken fairy became evil overnight.

Angelina Jolie plays Maleficient so intensely well. So right for the role. Hard and tough on the outside but soft and tenderhearted on the inside. Only the crow and Aurora knew whats inside her. Who is the crow? Diaval(Sam Riley), an interesting character,  he plays a pivotal part in assisting Maleficient in all her endeavours. I shall not say more but leave you to watch it for yourself. Angelina Jolie's 5 year old daughter is in it too!

I felt it was a bit short, that certain parts could have been amplified and expanded for audience to engaged in the emotional intensity between Maleficient and Aurora and Maleficient and Diaval.  Nevertheless, I love it and it's  a must watch movie.
